A Public Hearing will be held during a meeting on Monday June, 30th at 6:00 PM to discuss the details of the project (see notice below).
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND NOTICE OF TYPE B PROJECT RICE COMMUNITY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
In accordance with the Texas Local Government Code Section 505.159, a public hearing will be held by the Rice Community Economic Development Corporation during a meeting to be held by the Board of Directors on Monday, June 30, 2025 at 6:00 P.M. in the Business Hub at Rice City Hall, 305 N. Dallas Street, Rice, Texas to consider the use of sales tax proceeds to undertake and to fund improvements and development of greenspace located at 105 E. Calhoun Street in an amount not to exceed $32,000 (“Phase 1” of the “Project”) For more information about the Project, visit www.exit242.com/downtown/
This notice shall constitute publication of a Type B project as required by Texas Local Government Code Section 505.160.
Following the Public Hearing and the receipt of public input, it is anticipated that the Board of
Directors for the Rice Community Economic Development Corporation may take action on the Project at the same meeting.
